Villages around Aylesbury

Whilst Aylesbury is a popular town for people to choose as their next home town, there are those people like a slightly quieter, slower pace to life who choose a village location as their preferred port of call.

Aylesbury is blessed as it is surrounded by many beautiful, popular and historical villages, so choosing where to live might pose more of a problem than you originally thought.

To list all of them, would take up most of this blog, so we have highlighted several of the most popular villages based on what people ask for when looking to move home.

Stone lies south of Aylesbury and offers “everything”. Good schooling, local shops, a couple of well-renowned pubs, great walks and good access to Aylesbury Station, Haddenham Parkway. Comprising a good mixture of the older properties interspersed with newer models, it offers something for everyone.

Weston Turville can be found to the east of the town. A sprawling village, that is still growing, it is popular for the same reasons as many other villages, schools, amenities, road/rail access (Wendover Station) and community. New developments have sprung up in recent years adding to the choice of property for discerning buyers and tenants.

Aston Clinton lies just beyond Weston Turville and, it too, has seen substantial property growth over the past 20 years. One again, another village that extends in all directions, it also offers good schools, shops, pubs, cafés and plenty of walks. However, one over-riding factor that come up, time and again, is its proximity to the A41 by-pass for people commuting to work using the M25 or M1.

Finally, in this blog, we draw your attention to Wing. Located north of Aylesbury on the A418, this village is a rarity, hence its continued popularity. This village has the lot. Junior and Secondary schools or excellence, two surgeries, two pubs, a village stores and post office, restaurants, new build homes and established period homes, with Rothschild cottages a-plenty and good access to the market town of Leighton Buzzard with fast trains to London Euston.

If you like village life, those villages around Aylesbury offer you something different, every time.
